AVON haul!!!

 Hello lovelies :)

Just a quick mid-week blog post for you all! Got my AVON order tonight and before I forget what I got I wanted to share it with you!

I haven't had a chance to properly try anything yet but I've swatched them on my hand to see what they are like.

Right, let's start with skin care.
First I got the clear skin professional blemish mark treatment which is a roll on solution with hints of salycillic acid in that aims to reduce the marks left by breakouts.
I love this product and have used it time and time again! I like to put it on before I go to bed after I've cleansed my face. I've suffered quite badly with acne and breakouts these last few months and this has really helped me to turn my skin around!!

The other skin care product I got is the clear skin professional liquid extraction strip, which is a tube full of a thin solution that you apply to the face, let dry and then peel off and it removes dirt and reduces the look of blackheads on your face.
I love this, it leaves your skin feeling clean and is incredibly satisfying to peel off your face!!!

Up next I have a couple of hair care products that I have blogged about before.
I repurchased both the shine spray and the heat protection spray because they have worked really well on my hair and they are incredibly affordable.

Next is a foundation it had heard good reports about and decided to try for myself. It's the Ideal flawless invisible coverage foundation in the shade light pink which is the palest colour they do I think.
The solution feels quite lightweight and contains shimmers similar to the rimmel wake me up foundation. What I will say is that this foundation has a rather nice scent to it!

Next are another 2 products I thought I would try and they are the super shock gel eyeliner pencils. I bought two separate shades to try out, one that I knew I would wear and one in a shade I was excited to try. I got them in black and raw plum.

I'm really excited to try the plum shade and branch away from the usual blacks and browns.

Lastly I went a little crazy and purchased quite a few lipsticks from colortrend. I reordered the limited edition shade jungle fever which I love so much! It was the last chance to buy it and I just had to order it.
Then I purchased the other two I hadn't already got from the same collection and these shades are:
Wild plum
Which is a lovely rich non-shimmery plum tone!
The other one from this collection  I got was coppered camo which is a shimmery, coppery nude tone.
Next I ordered the other three shades from their valentines day collection.
Up first is kissable which is a lovely deep berry red.

Then loveable which is a gorgeous pink.

Lastly from this collection is smoochable which is a peachy pink.

The last lippy in my mammoth haul is the shade lucky kiss which is a stunning shimmery deep purple, I cannot wait to try this!!!

Lastly I ordered a piece of jewellery which is a stunning leopard/cheetah necklace which when I saw it I fell in love with instantly!!!
So there's all my haul!
Hope you enjoyed!
See you all soon
Keep smiling xoxox

My palette collection

I wanted to do a quick blog post (from bed again) I'm not totally lazy I promise I just always get inspiration when laying in bed!
After Christmas and new year I decided I wanted to get into make up more, more specifically doing makeup! My parents brought me this amazing travel box to put all my makeup and brushes in for Christmas so I just HAD to buy some new makeup palettes to fill it with!!
Now I could have spent loads of money on all the expensive palettes but as I'm a newbie to this all I got some relatively cheap ones to play around with. I bought them all from www.amazon.co.uk and spent no more than £15 pounds on each palette.

The first palette I want to talk about is the Jazooli 15 piece concealer palette. It contains quite a range of colours ranging from white to a dark brown. It also has colour correcting concealers and a shimmery highlighter as well.
The colour payoff is pretty good for a very affordable palette but they take a little while to warm up(It was easier to get more product on a warm finger than a brush) The quality of the product also feels good on the skin. I also think that the darker toned concealers would be excellent for contouring the face.

Next from Jazooli I purchased the 120 piece eyeshadow palette which has 120 different shimmery coloured eyeshadow shades ranging from right oranges to deep purples.
The pigmentation of these eyeshadows is amazing! The colour payoff is super bright! They feel soft and not too chalky. My only negative is that the eyeshadows are pretty small so will run out quickly, but I guess there are so many shades to choose from that I'll never run out of looks!!

Next I purchased a 28 piece blusher palette which has shades ranging from pale to neon, from pinks to corals to reddy-berry tones. Some are matte finish and some are shimmery which means there is a blusher for every occasion.
The product feels soft on the skin, the colour does however need to be built up to achieve how bright it looks in the pan. Another negative is that they are rather small making it awkward to get bigger brushes into.

Lastly from amazon I purchased a 28 piece neutral eyeshadow palette featuring both matte and shimmery neutral tones ranging from pale champagne tones, to rich browns and a matte black.
The colour payoff is brilliant and the size of the shadows is brilliant. I can't wait to create many lovely neutral looks with this palette.

As well as amazon, I purchased a couple of smaller palettes in the January sales from superdrug.

The first is by colour unlimited and is a 10 piece eyeshadow palette featuring a range of highly pigmented shimmery tones.
I really like this palette, I used it on my little cousin for New Years and it worked really well.

I also purchased a palette by studio London and it's an 8 piece eyeshadow palette with a range of colours and also gives tips to achieve certain looks using a few of the eyeshadows.
I like that this gives you ideas on how to use the palette and cannot wait to try out some of the looks.

I hope you've enjoyed a look into my palette collection, I'll be sure to post pics when I create looks with them.

Keep smiling

Superdrug haul

Hello lovelies
Another post from my iPhone as I'm in bed sick with no voice! It's very quiet in my house at the moment!
I wanted to do a quick post about some bits I got from superdrug the other week. I would have done it sooner but I've had lots going on at home!
There were a few bits I wanted to try and when I needed some other bits from superdrug I figured I may as well order these bits too! (I would have gone into town to buy them but the weather here in the uk has been atrocious!!!)

The first thing I wanted to try was the much raved about Maybelline Baby Skin instant pore eraser. I'd heard lots about this product online and from friends and had been informed that it was a good affordable dupe of Benefit's The Porefessional. Having not tried the Porefessional primer myself yet (I will get round to it and will do a blog post comparing them!) I can only give my opinion based on my knowledge of the Baby Skin itself with nothing to compare to.
First things first can I just say how strange and slightly creepy the name baby skin is...
The product itself is a silicone based primer that is said to give smooth poreless looking skin. When I used this, it reminded me of a thicker version of the Gosh primer that I used to have (it's disappeared in my room somewhere!) It makes your skin feel soft after use and is very easy to apply. What I will say is make sure your moisturiser is fully soaked into your skin before using the primer and also do make sure the primer has set a little before applying your foundation otherwise you have a bit of a slippy situation going on which is never good! I really like this product as it does give a nice finish on your face and is great value for money! I will definitely be repurchasing this!

Next is another cult favourite, Sleeks Blusher in Rose Gold. I had also heard a lot about this blush and especially heard lots of people saying it's a dupe of the Nars Orgasm blush. I also haven't tried the Nars blush yet but am hoping to purchase it when I go to IMATS later in the year. (WOOHOO!)
I love the pinky tone of the blusher and the quite pigmented gold shimmer that runs throughout the product! It almost acts as a blusher and a highlight in one and I cannot wait to wear this in spring/summertime so I can see the effect it has once the sun hits it!
Considering this product is less than £5 the quality and the colour payoff are amazing!! I will definitely be buying more Sleek blushes in the future!

Now I couldn't do a superdrug shop without a few purchases from my favourite brand MUA.
After loving the colour blast eyeshadow tint I got last month so much, I decided to try one in a darker brown shade. I purchased it in the shade Bring it Back which is a dark golden brown!
I haven't yet tried this product out on myself but if it's anything like the other one I own I know I will love it! I love the creamy and unsticky feel of the product and also love how easy it is to apply and blend! Especially with this shade, I love the gold shimmer that really brings the brown tone to life!
I cannot wait to add more of these to my collection!!

Next from MUA I got two of their eye pencils, one in rich brown and one in jet black. What initially drew me to these was the fact that there is a pencil sharpener in the lid! HOW AMAZING IS THAT?!? I think this is an amazing idea!
The liners themselves are really creamy making then easy to apply and also easy to blend and they are crazy affordable at £1 each (I think?!?)

I just think that although their prices are low, the quality if MUA's products  is incredibly high and I recommend them to anyone who will listen!!!

Well there you have it, my superdrug haul. If you want to see more of what I'm buying, stay tuned as I'm sure I'll have AVON orders with loads of cool stuff coming through soon!
I'm now off to curl up in bed and hide from all the horrible weather outside!

Take care and keep smiling!

My January favourites!!

Hiya everyone!!
I'm baaaaaackk!!!!
I figured it was about high time I did my first proper blog post of the new year and  thought I would share with you all my favourite products that I used throughout the festive season and have also been loving throughout January!
I hope you are all keeping well and haven't caught the generic cold/flu that ALWAYS does the rounds this time of year!!
Right, let's get this show on the road and crack on with my January favourites.

Now I love candles all year round, if you could see my room it is full to the brim with candles! (If there's a powercut I am beyond prepared!!!)
I know I have blogged about this before but I am still loving burning my bahama breeze Yankee candle and am now about halfway through it! It coordinates with my room perfectly and smells divine and reminds me of summertime (which is my favourite time of year!)
(Excuse the photos... I am doing this blog post on my iPhone from bed as it's Sunday morning, cold and I am waaaay to comfortable to move!)

Next are two new candles I purchased in January (I think...) they are both also Yankee candles and I am yet to burn them (as they look so cute!). I bought these ones in case I ever (not likely) get bored of my bahama breeze candle and wanted a different smell.
The first one I bought was in the scent vanilla cupcake which as the name would suggest smells like vanilla. I love the smell of vanilla and I also love cupcakes so when I saw this online I just had to buy it!
Now to accompany the scent of vanilla cupcake, I purchased strawberry buttercream too. This candle smells very sugary with the subtle scent of strawberries which kind of reminds me of the smell of strawberry gummy sweets.
I am sure that when I get around to burning both of these that they will smell even more lovely then they do now.

Up next on my favourites list is an absolute montain of soap and glory products! I was lucky enough to get my hands on the soap and glory Yule Monty box when it was going ridiculously cheap in boots and was blown away by how amazing it was! I had never really tried soap and glory products before so I didn't quite know what to expect. I have now tried the majority of the products within the box and  have fallen on love with just about all of them!
Up first is the sugar crush body wash which I use every day in the shower. It smells like sugar and limes and makes your skin feel super soft! I love that the massive bottle is a pump top bottle so I can be really lazy in the shower and not even have to bother picking the bottle up! When this runs out I will definitely repurchase!
Next is the butter yourself moisture lotion which I also use every day when I get out of the shower. I have found that this works best on slightly damp skin and makes is feel very soft and smooth. It smells amazing with scents of orange, fig and mango amongst others which leaves you smelling fruity and fresh and feeling fab.
Next I have the righteous butter which I have been loving applying to my skin after I have moisturised in places where my skin can get a bit rough or dry such as my knees and elbows. It has a quite perfumed scent and I can't quite decide what it smells like! I love this because in winter, the cold makes certain parts of your skin feel a bit manky and this has softened them up a treat!
Next is the peaches and clean 3in1 wash off deep purifying cleanser (what a mouthful!!) I have only recently started to use this product but I really do like it. I sometimes use it as a face wash if I'm in a hurry to go out or get to bed, or if I'm chilling out in bed or in the bath I will massage it into my face and leave it on for a while like a face mask. It leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh and smells like peaches which is a definite bonus!
Lastly is soap and glory's hand food, which I can honestly say is the nicest hand cream I have ever used! I have very dry hands, especially in the winter and they can get really quite sore but this hand cream keeps them smooth and moisturised and I've hardly seen any dryness on my hands this winter so far. It smells like the righteous butter so I can't really describe the scent but all I know is I love it! I put it on my hands morning and night and really NEED to purchase a mini one for in my handbag!

Next on my list of favourites are my real techniques brushes!! (Eeeeeeek!!!! :D)
I got the eye brushes for Christmas and had to then go out and purchase the face ones too! Can I just take a minute to say how amazing these brushes are! Every single one is just brilliant and they leave your face looking amazing! I had seen many youtubers use these brushes and really wanted to try them out.
The eye brush set comes with the pixel-point eyeliner brush, the brow brush, the accent brush, the base eyeshadow brush and the deluxe crease brush!
(I know they need a clean!!!)
I then bought the face brush set which comes with the buffing brush, the pointed foundation brush, the detailer brush and the contour brush. I currently use the contour brush for applying my blush, the detailer for concealer and the buffing brush for face powder.
I also got the blush brush and the expert face brush seperately. I use the blush brush for contouring and applying bronzer and the expert face brush for my foundation! I use these every day pretty much and they are all by far the best brushes I've ever used!

For Christmas my lovely parents got me my first piece of mac makeup, which is the mac mineralize skin finish natural pressed powder in the shade light. This powder is just amazing! It mattes out your face and also gives a flawless finish! I absolutely love this powder and don't think I could ever use anything different!

My next favourite is the MUA colour blast eyeshadow tint pencil in the shade A Girl Like Me. The shade is a lovely antique golden brown shade which looks super natural when swept across your whole eyelid! I also like using it as a base for powder eyeshadows. It is incredibly affordable and I have just ordered another in a different shade to try out!
Next on the list are the avon hair sprays. I got them on a whim last month to try out and I really like them. I got the heat protection spray and the mirror shine spray. They both do what they say on the label and are incredibly affordable! I will definitely purchase again!
Lastly I wanted to talk to you about a lush bath bomb I was given for Christmas. Now I had never used a lush bath bomb before (I know I know... I must have been living under a rock or something) and when I was given one for Christmas I couldn't wait to try it out. I was given the Father Christmas bath bomb which is pink and white and looks like Father Christmas. It smells lovely so I figured it would make for a pleasant bathtime experience, and it didn't disappoint me. Though I can honestly say I was not expecting what was hidden inside of the bath bomb...
My jaw hit the floor when this happened! So apparently I was the only person in the world who wasn't expecting this. Yep, it turned the water bright green! Initially I was a bit worried but once I got in the bath it was lovely (if a little surreal!). The bath bomb itself made my skin feel lovely and soft and it definitely cheered me up and helped me to relax!
See, here I am relaxing!!

So there are all my January favourites! I hope that you enjoyed them! I will try and do another blog post soon!

Until then, take care, keep smiling and stay happy!!

Love you
Xoxo
